See You on the Next Wave

Scrolling through my phone, suddenly I stopped as I look above, that says “Our Saviour’s Foundation Inc.”. Knowing that it’s another day here at school. Wind blows through my hair as I step out from my ride. Cheerful smiles welcome me as I walk through the tall, dark gates. Then I suddenly remember how I started as a shy and timid student, and how being a Saviourite gradually mold me into a fearless warrior.

One of the things I love about Fridays is when we gather and worship. The feeling or expression of reverence and adoration wherein we praise, give glory, and honor our Almighty God. It is done every Friday wherein it leads drained students to have strength once more throughout the day.

When we go back and take our class, I have realized that indeed, my school offers the best education that they could give. In the same way with other known schools, but after all, Saviours is still on the top when it comes to the quality of education. This academy chooses the best teachers to train students in order for them to become glimmering stars. Not only to make them wiser or more knowledgeable but of course, to enhance their given gifts.

I, myself can say that I came out of my shell because of the people around me, who  still support and encourage me to step out of my comfort zone in order for me to become a better person. Because of that, I participated contests and performances throughout my high school years and I am still doing so. I was able to face every challenges because, knowing that I am not alone. I have friends and teachers who motivates me and supports me, I have coaches who trains me and I have these glittering, talented companions. In simpler terms, these challenges lead me to shine brighter.

Eventually, I hear this deafening sound of the bell but also, the sound of breathing space which causes me to jump out of my place because of excitement. As I go down, I have noticed that every saviourite I see laughs and put smile on their faces with their companions which I believe, their friends. I can’t help but to smile remembering the times how I started to have friends.  It was hard for me to socialize but eventually I was able to. Finally, I could see children playing under the sun and screaming at the top of their lungs. I can definitely say that no matter who you are, or where you came from, this academy doesn’t halt you from being who you really are. It even encourages you to embrace yourself, to accept who you are, and that is one of the edge of being a saviourite.

I am truly beyond thankful because of the choices I made, and that is choosing to become a saviourite. It completely transformed me into one of the glimmering stars. As the day ends, I look at this school once more before walking away. I smiled softly and said “see you on the next wave” knowing that there would be new challenges and adventures that I am ready to face.
